For individuals

Vehicle registration certificate (RC)
One photo ID: Aadhaar, driving licence, PAN, voter ID or passport
Passport-size photograph
Mobile number

For companies

RC of every vehicle
Company PAN and GST certificate, where applicable
ID proof and photo of the authorised signatory
Authorisation letter, if the issuer asks

Minimum KYC and full KYC

Some issuers activate a tag with minimum KYC and keep a balance limit until full KYC is done. Full KYC needs proof of identity and address along with the RC. Limits differ by issuer, so check yours.

Why it matters

A tag with pending KYC can be blocked or restricted, and may fail at the toll plaza. Match the name and number on the RC with your ID, and keep your mobile number current.
